The Jellydots are an Austin, Texas based kindie pop group that is the brainchild of music teacher, Doug Snyder. Challenged by the reluctance of his younger students to learn the old standard folk tunes found in popular guitar method books, Snyder began teaching composition and co-writing songs with his kids. Although this is technically their 3rd album, The Jellydots are releasing "Hey You Kids!" as a compilation of all the hit songs by The Jellydots over the last four years with three new songs (Captain Sleep, Bicycle, and Three is a Magic Number.

The Jellydots are often compared to The Shins by reviewers and Warren Truitt of the Children's Music That Rocks blog says "...buy five copies of “Hey You Kids!”, give one to your local library, give three to your closest friends, and keep one for yourself and/or your little ones and play repeatedly. It’ll make the world a more beautiful place." Now that's a great endorsement!

The first 9 tracks are uptempo tunes designed to wear your kid out with some dancing. The album ends on a slow note with four soft and mellow tunes perfect for naptime. “Hey You Kids!” was recorded live with the band, so you’ll feel like you’re right there with them at a show.
